Welcome to my blog

Hello and Welcome to my first ever blog. My name is Sharon. I am a 30 something work at home mother of two. I am married to a wonderful man, Big D.  Our children are J1, who is 9 and J2, who is 6. We also have a cat named Angel. We live in Toledo, Ohio. We are currently on break for winter vacation so I thought no time like the present to start working on my new blog.

I'm currently a learning coach or teacher to my two children and it takes up a lot of time during the day. J1 and J2 are both enrolled in a virtual school this year and I must say that it has been a blessing. I love having the control of the education in my hands and not someone elses. I admit we still have a curriculm that we follow but I use it as a base for what I want to teach them and what I don't. My husband thought I was nuts when I mentioned I wanted to do this with our girls. He thought it would be too much for me. I thought that too at first but now I am seeing great improvement in both my girls. They may not have much of a social network but I figure in the long run they will be better educated then if in a school that wasn't thriving.

I also have a part-time craft business on Etsy.com. I make mostly pillows but am branching off that lately and started on making other products to sell. I would like to eventually add my husband to my crafting business but he is working full-time right now and doesn't have the time to put his attention into it. He enjoys working with wood and carving signs.

With all of that said I hope to also add blogging to my resume of things that I love to do. I enjoy writing stories and poems so I am sure I will also be adding that into this blog at some point. My other hobbies are cooking, baking, and spending quality time with my family and friends. Thank you for visiting my little site and hope to add more content soon.
